National Girlfriend Day

National Girlfriend Day | National Girlfriend Day is celebrated on October 10th

National Girlfriend Day. It’s time for some real chat, ladies. Today is National Girlfriend Day, which takes place on August 1 every year. Unlike National Boyfriend Day, this day is about women supporting women, not about boyfriends appreciating their girlfriends (which, let’s be honest, should happen every day).

Romantic relationships come and go. Jobs are won and lost every day. But, no matter what happens, you can count on your daughters to help you out in need. It’s time to pay tribute to your “ride or die” homegirls! So, why do we care so much about our girlfriends? Because they’re like sisters but without the baggage of adolescence.

Plus, when things go bad, your girls will listen to you vent and then offer you the support you need to get through it.

Spa days, weekend retreats, and pyjama parties with wine and nachos are even more enjoyable when your buddies join along. Spend some delightful time this year on National Girlfriend Day 2021 chatting about relationships past, present, and future. Discuss your ambitions and dreams in a truly safe environment, the sisterhood circle.

NATIONAL GIRLFRIEND DAY’S HISTORY

It’s unclear who started National Girlfriend Day on August 1, but Mistress Susan, who owns a luxury website, appears to be the most credible claimant. She claims she invented and celebrated the occasion in 2004 as a way for female friends to express their gratitude to one another.

Female friendships and gal pals have a much longer history than the day itself. We can’t track back to the first-ever female friends because they’ve been friends for so long, so instead, we’ll discuss some of the more noteworthy gal mates from recent times.

In the 1860s, a group of female friends known as the Edinburgh Seven struggled to become the first women to attend medical school in the United Kingdom. Despite studying medicine at Edinburgh University, they were denied the opportunity to graduate and practise medicine.

Their determination elevated women’s rights to the national agenda, resulting in regulations allowing women to pursue medicine at university in 1876. The Edinburgh Seven had opened the path for future generations of female doctors.

Around the same time, Susan B Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton were beginning to build a revolutionary friendship. The two were the founders of the American women’s rights movement and trailblazers in the fight for white women’s suffrage. The two first met in 1851, and the National Woman Suffrage Association was founded in 1869.

On a more sporting note, the Rockford Peaches, founders of the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League in the 1940s, deserve special recognition. Their accomplishments were a significant step forward for female athletics in the United States.

One of our favourite female friendship stories involves Ella Fitzgerald and Marilyn Monroe, with Fitzgerald crediting Monroe for her big break? In 1955, the singer attempted to arrange a show at the Mocambo in Hollywood, but the manager turned her down due to her lack of “sex appeal.” Monroe called the manager and stated that if Fitzgerald got the job, she would sit in the front row every night, bringing in the press and audiences that the manager desired. Later, Fitzgerald would say. “Following that, I never had to present at a small jazz club once more.”

Martina Navratilova and Chris Evert have demonstrated that even ferocious opponents can be great friends. During the 1970s and 1980s, the two faced off in 61 tennis tournament finals, but they remained great friends off the court, travelling to tournaments together and hanging out in between matches.

Gal pals are always there for one another and have a history of going against the grain to accomplish amazing things. On National Girlfriend Day 2021, make sure to take some time to tell your girlfriends how much you value them.

GIRLFRIENDS DAY IS A NATIONAL DAY FOR GIRLFRIENDS.

National Girlfriends Day, observed on August 1st, encourages women around the United States to come together and celebrate their special bond of friendship.

There are numerous types of girlfriends. Others met through work or college, while others grew up together. Others have a stronger bond; sisters and mothers, for example, fit the criteria of girlfriends.

Despite the fact that these types of relationships enter our minds on a regular basis, we rarely set aside time to spend with them. The day celebrates the happiness and laughs that girlfriends bring. Friends rarely let one another go it alone. They not only enjoy spending time together, but they also help and encourage one another. Girlfriends share counsel and celebrate triumphs while laughing and sharing secrets. Girlfriends are there when it’s time for a glass of wine, a discussion over a cup of coffee, or a long walk.

One of life’s most special connections is friendship.

Girlfriends make life richer, fuller, and complete, whether we have one or several. These are the friends who can make you laugh at the most ridiculous things in life. When life isn’t treating you well, you can resort to your partner. In its most basic form, National Girlfriends Day honours the countless ways that having our girlfriends in our lives makes life better.

TO CELEBRATE #NationalGirlfriendsDay, tell your gal pals how much they mean to you and how valuable they are in your life today. While out for lunch or a drink, reflect on the past or your future goals. Send a message or a small token of appreciation. Pick up the phone and call your girlfriends to make plans. Make sure these connections aren’t overlooked.

Whatever you do, keep in touch as much as possible. To get ready for that important day, tell everyone about Amazon’s Wedding Registry. Use the hashtag #NationalGirlfriendsDay on social media.

Kathleen Laing and Elizabeth Butterfield, mother-daughter authors, issued the first formal declaration of a National Girlfriends Day in 2002, according to National Day Calendar®. They chose September 20th as the day for their celebration, which coincided with the release of their book Girlfriends Getaway.

However, there are two other claims to August 1st being National Girlfriends Day. The first is Mistress Susan, who began celebrating in 2003 at savionaire.com.

This isn’t like Valentine’s Day in that it’s all about the female buddies. Two distinct words, both referring to your buddies. Friendly concourse and leisure, not romantic involvement.

Friendship Day

Let’s start with the definition of Girl Friend’s Day: the day of the girl friend. For the most part, the definition of a girl is self-evident. There may be some bending of that term on occasion, but we all understand what it means to each of us. A friend is someone that you know and with whom you share a strong relationship of affection. This does not refer to sexual intercourse; rather, it refers to relationships. We all have relationships, and a friend is someone with whom we have a close relationship, regardless of the circumstance. It is this relationship that distinguishes them as a friend.

Mistress Susan established a unique day on August 1, 2004, for girl friends to express their gratitude to one another. It’s a fantastic opportunity to take your girls to the park, to a Broadway show, to a restaurant opening, to see an indie film, or to an upscale spa!
